Day 15: Cooking and Making a Presentation

Today was a very uneventful day sadly as the only required event was to go to a Taiwanese cooking class for lunch. For our class, we made zongzi, an old Taiwanese dish that based on boiling rice, pork and some Taiwanese style assortments with some banana leaves wrapped all around them. The meal was good but was extremely difficult for me as I am not a delicate chef

After the cooking class, we were left to our own devices. I was going to go do something special for today, but after learning about the presentations on Thursday, I decided to dedicate the afternoon on brainstorming what to talk about for it and making a script for it as well.

After spending hours on the presentation, I went on a walk around Taipei. Ironically, this is the first time since the first day I was here that I was able to explore this area by myself. I walked to the river area next to our hotel and the highway and just listened to water flow by and the other people next to it run or bike by me. It is truly strange having to listen to those noises, especially since I love my headphones so much that I keep that for pretty much forever as long as they are alive.
