Jumping right into Taiwan we started out with some breakfast down the street from the hotel and then a visit to Chiang Kei-Shek memorial. The architecture and the grandness of this memorial was impressive and the history behind it even more interesting. After this we took a visit to Taipei 101 which is the tallest building in Taiwan and at one point the world. The view from the top floor gave me an idea for how dense of a city Taipei is. For the First night we went to the grand hotel which is an impressive building and enjoyed some authentic food. For the first day and a complete time switch i think that it was a great day and gave me a great introduction to Taiwan. I am looking forward to seeing what else Taiwan has to offer.
