Day 2

Day 2 of Taiwan felt a lot more impactful than the first day. We started our day very excitedly by going to the A&T building. This building functions like an embassy for people wishing to do business overseas, from America to Taiwan and vice versa. We learned a lot about the crucial relationship between America and Taiwan in a very engaging way, understanding how much both countries benefit from helping one another. I loved this part of the day because I had no idea how important Taiwan was to America, despite Taiwan being so small and far away. We piggybacked on this by having our day filled with visits to various other companies based in Taiwan. We got explanations from some of the top shareholders on how they operate in Taiwan and how to operate the business in general. I valued these meetings as someone with little to no business knowledge; it was fun to learn fundamental concepts like the differences between ODM and OEM companies in an engaging way, relating to Taiwan.
