Today was our first Saturday in Taiwan, and it started off really well. We toured a university located in Taipei, where some students gave us a guided tour. We had the chance to see art exhibits at two locations on campus, and it was fun bonding with fellow students from Taiwan.
However, things took a turn when I realized I had lost my backpack, which contained my journal that I’ve had for about two years. This made me really upset, as it was something so important to me. Thankfully, my new friends from the university worked hard to find where I had left my backpack and returned it to me later that same day.
This gesture made me enjoy the day even more, as I learned the importance of perseverance during emotional hardships. I was lucky to get my notebook back, so I spent the rest of my evening relaxing and appreciating the good fortune of the day.
