Today (5/24), we started our day by boarding the train and heading the Taiwan Art School. Unfortunately, once we got onto the train it started pouring and I did not have a rain jacket. Luckily, we were able to find umbrella’s at the train station, but I my feet still seemed to get wet. We met two students, one who was a graduate and one who was a senior, at the train station and they helped us get onto a bus and head to the campus. Once we arrived at the campus, they let us walk around and explain to us what each building would be. I think it would have been interesting to go inside of them and see the class rooms. They took us inside one of the student art galleries which was full of the artwork from students and I thought all the artwork was so pretty.

This is one of the art pieces that interested me because it reminds me of the show The Last of Us. It had mushrooms growing out of the arms which reminded me of the disease which people get in the show. Once we left this, we walked around a little more and saw some more artwork and campus. It was slightly hard to hear the tour guides because it was raining and they were a little soft spoken.
Once we left, we headed to the jade market. I unfortunately had higher expectations for this, but it was still interesting to see the different art pieces that the vendors were selling. Jenn and I headed out and grabbed a bite to eat before heading to the night market. Once we were there, we tried party strawberry snowball ice. Overall, it was a nice day but I think it could have been better with an umbrella.
