Taiwan Day ten (5/29)

Today (5/29) we started the day by heading to the HSR in order to travel to Kaohsiung. The train made the travels quick, only about an hour. Once we arrived in Kaohsiung we headed to the Art Museum where we saw a lot of different artwork.

These are a couple of my favorite pieces that we saw in the museum, I felt like these are very different then things I have seen in previous museums. I especially liked the luminated backgrounds because I felt like the backgrounds made the artwork more meaningful. Also I thought the knitted flamingo was interesting because it was made of yarn and tied up to the ceiling.

We then headed to our hotel before a couple of us made the excursion to the Love River. Unfortunately, it was raining but luckily the boat was covered. The city all around the river was lit up which made for a beautiful view even in the rain.

While we didn’t do a lot today, the things we did were very pretty and made my day a lot of fun.

I really liked the paintings with a glowing background too. I especially like the first photo you included! I don’t remember seeing it so I’m glad you took a photo 😄
