We started the day out with a company visit to a movie studio company called Studio 76. This company helps produce movies and Tv shows in various stages of production from just the script or from the ground up. All of the media produced by this company is focused on the East Asian market. There where many nuances to this because certain countries like main land China and others have heavy censorship and the company would need to take certain actions to align with this. Not only would they do this but they would also localize somethings like the titles of movies or episodes. They also do a lot of translation work when it comes to putting a movie out in the East Asian market. We also got a look into the idea of creating libraries of movies for people to access. With this we also got a look into how Webtoons can be created with the use of AI and how it can be possibly another media window for movies and tv shows.
After the company visit we made our way to the scenic spot of Jiu Fen. Originally we had planned to visit the gold mine museum but because of the long weekend it was closed so we got more time to explore on our own.
I had lunch at a very nice spot and despite the hear wanted to sit outside because of the view. Although this is probably the most touristy spot that we visited I’m glad that we did because it was a great show case of Taiwan’s natural beauty.
After that we went to another tow nearby named Shi fen to write wishes on a lantern and then set it free in hopes of our wishes coming true. Our photos with the lantern where interrupted by a passing train which was funny since i just assumed the rail road we where on was not in use.
