We explored the National Taichung Theater late in the morning. We couldn’t enter the building when we first got there so we had to stay outside and do something else until we could. I took two laps around the theater looking at the surroundings and listening to music as that is one of my favorite things to do. I eventually stopped and went to the outdoors stadium thingy as everyone else was there doing a talent show. April is apparently double-jointed which honestly adds up; Mikey can do a walking handstand which in hindsight seems obvious as he’s great at […]

We woke up very early for the high speed rail heading to Taichung. This was definitely the earliest I have ever woken up during the trip besides the first day. This Sunday morning, we had class at 9am for reflection of our first few days of Taiwan and what we picked up on at these temples and areas we went to. I was a little late to class as both Mikey and I did not wake up on time for it. We were still able to participate and share our thoughts on what we learned and thought from our Taiwan experience. I especially reflected on Day 2 and 4 as my interest in technology appeared again this morning. Afterwards, we wrote these reflections onto paper to get a rawer idea […]
Today, we decided to visit the Taipei National University of the Arts with a former student, David, and a current student, Daniel. They were happy enough to volunteer to show us around their campus and the contributions the students have made towards their artistic journey. We were shown around a couple of the exhibits created by students and the art was astounding and also a little perplexing. The exhibit displayed art from many different methods of art storytelling. Some told a more personal story with its art, like the history of important figures and/or family members and their life in […]
